A quick way to play together

Shithead Online is a browser version of the familiar shedding card game. It supports 2–8 friends at a private table. There is no public matchmaking and no account to create: choose a display name, share a lobby code and start.

Shithead, Palace and Karma

You may know this family of card games as Palace or Karma. Names and house rules differ between groups, especially for special cards. This app uses the version documented in our Shithead rules. Read those before playing so everyone knows what to expect.

Your table stays yours

Your browser receives your own hand, public face-up cards and card counts. Opponents’ hands and every face-down card stay private until the rules reveal them. A secure browser cookie reconnects you to the same seat; the lobby code lets new friends join before the game starts.

If you clear cookies or switch devices, the lobby code and your name cannot restore that seat. Inactive tables expire after seven days, and browser sessions expire after thirty days without renewal. Closing the page does not immediately remove your cards.

Start with our guide to playing Shithead, or open the rule sheet at any time during a game. The last player holding cards gets the title nobody wants. Then everyone gets another chance.
