Shithead Online Game Modes
Choose the pace that fits your table. Classic is the standard rule set, Lightning Rush is short and intense, and Chaos Mode adds unpredictable match modifiers.
Playable modes
The live app currently includes Classic, Lightning Rush and Chaos Mode. Other modes appear as planned variants and should not be treated as live rules yet.
- Classic: The standard Shithead experience with private rooms, public matches, bots, three face-down cards, three face-up cards and the app rule set documented on the rules page.
- Lightning Rush: A faster deck and tighter pace for short matches. It keeps the core rules but rewards quick burns and streaks with a more aggressive match flow.
- Chaos Mode: A server-synced variant with random match modifiers such as triple burns, mirror rules, mystery stacks, direction changes and pressure events.
- Elite Emblems: A planned skill-focused mode. It is listed in the app but not available for live matches yet.
- Power Clash: A planned high-impact variant. It is not part of the current live rule set.
- Last One Standing: A planned elimination-focused variant. It is listed as coming soon in the mode selector.
Which mode should you choose?
Choose Classic when teaching new players or playing a relaxed private table. Choose Lightning Rush for quick sessions. Choose Chaos Mode when everyone already understands the base rules and wants a less predictable game.
Bots, public tables and private lobbies
Modes can be used with bots or friend lobbies depending on the app flow. Lightning Rush has a tighter player cap than Classic, while Classic and Chaos are built for larger groups.
